We have many things to be thankful for this 7th year of building the future of access control. In this recap, we present the memorable moments that define 2018 for Clay.
Take a look at what happened:
🗒️ Project highlights
The projects that made a big impact in 2018:
🤳 New & improved KS apps
To help the end-user achieve their goals in a simple way we took a closer look at the interfaces and improve them in 2018. The new SALTO KS app is built upon a new technological structure that allows great scalability and speed.
🖥️ The new saltoks.com
With a fresh new look and clear description of all the benefits, we proudly launched the new saltoks.com in November. Keep your eye on this beauty, because there's much more to come!CHECK OUT THE NEW WEBSITE!
🌵 Clay HQ redo
To accommodate our expanding team of eventually 30 Bricks, we needed our office to still feel like a home away from home with all the benefits of a healthy working environment. We redecorated the office in 2018 in a big way. A lot of plants, a new pool table, picnic tables, a new carpet and some much-needed wall art led us to what it is now.SHOW ME MORE!
"Blood, sweat and tears are in this project. Literally" Kristin, Ex-Office manager
👩🏽💻 Meet our dev team
Since we are always on the lookout for new top talent that will enlighten the team with exciting insights from a different perspective we've created this video for new developers to get a better understanding of how we work and why. See for yourself if we succeeded! (and apply if you like what you see!)
A year full of events! We attended and visited several events throughout 2018 that left us inspired and full of energy we are going to use to accelerate in 2019.
🎫 KS events
In 2018 we were lucky to meet familiar faces like our integration partners, new potential customers and passionate technology lovers that visited the SALTO KS booth at the following events:
⛵ Bricks on Deck
End of July the Bricks gathered to conquer something else then mechanical keys for a change and went sailing. Little did they know the sea wouldn't give in that easily... Find out how the Bricks conquered the sea (which was way rougher than the video shows!)

In 2018 we defined our 8 core values. These values were subtracted from the heart of Clay: The Bricks. Innovation runs through our veins and together we live by these values to eventually win the battle against mechanical keys. Together.
Read where we stand for and live by
Innovation is in our veins; we strive for the best, we aim high.
We communicate openly, transparently and thoughtfully.
Each of us takes ownership and responsibility for our work.
We lead with kindness and by example; we bring out the best in each other.
When in doubt we act with courage, take intelligent risks and make wise decisions.
With endless curiosity we keep learning and improving, while knowing to seek assistance for rapid advancement.
We’re stronger together. As a team we’re passionate, collaborative, playful and proud
To achieve the greatest we keep it simple, take small steps and always work smart.
With 26 Bricks and counting we're in the midst of the key-free revolution. Behold the tight-knit team of Bricks we're always bragging about:

🌍 Cultural diversity
Last year we already had a mix of nine cultures that define our awesome multicultural team, but this year we've added four more!

🤡 Fun facts
We do serious business, but we don’t always take ourselves too seriously. Find out what made us laugh in 2018:
🗑️ Angry neighbours: Trash-gate
Ok, we admit it: The Bricks can be a rowdy bunch. In the summer we play football in the courtyard, on Fridays we have loud music and every day at noon we play pool. Loudly. Things are almost always fine and dandy, we're are even friends with our neighbourhood cat Bram. Yet, this year we had one top-annoyance from both us and our baby-boom neighbours: The bin that wasn’t emptied by the trash-company! Behold the horror:
To snack or not to snack
