At the Clay office, most of the time it’s smooth sailing. And that has to do with Bricks working together like a charm, but also because of a few tools we use that make our lives much easier!
Where work* happens.
*Whatever work means for you, Slack brings all the pieces and people you need together so you can actually get things done.
This cheeky motto is Slack’s strength. A modern day office can’t function without a medium like Slack. We have a general channel to share our (professional) thoughts, a random channel for our non-work related stuff, and of course there are a few private channels for special departments.
Slack is a very clever and productive way to directly communicate with your teammates without having to make small talk. We love Slack!
Our team of talented developers use JIRA daily to plan, track, and release great software. Our product owner Medi, creates user stories, plans sprints, and distributes tasks across the software team. JIRA can be integrated with other tools as well, such as Confluence, another must have for our developers.
As a team of 22, we need a central place to keep our work organized and accessible, making it easier to find the information needed to keep work moving forward. Confluence is the content collaboration software we use to store, and grow our team’s knowledge so we can stay up to date and on the same page – literally.
Our office manager Kris’s favorite: Datumprikker.nl a very useful website that enables you to pick a date for a certain event without having to harass every group member with numerous dates and times. Perfect for our team of social butterflies!
A lifesaver! If it weren’t for Dropbox where would our files be? Dropbox makes sure our precious files can be shared and are protected. Get notifications when your colleague updates a document or share a folder with your manager. It’s all possible!
Homerun is mostly used by our recruiter Babet. A very handy tracking system where you can see who is in the running for a specific job. In one click you have all the information of an applicant at hand. It makes hiring people more fun, authentic and intuitive!
A smart way to make it from A to B without having to own a car. Living in Amsterdam now a days is a victory by itself. Also having a car is the holy grail and therefor not always realistic. Thank god for tools like Greenwheels where you can easily pick a date, time and pick up / drop off point and of you go in a comfortable red and green car!
There are of course more tools to mention, but let’s save that for another time!
